PokerStars is betting heavily on Tallinn this summer. The 11th to 16th of August European Poker Tour begins in the estonian capital
but the 16th to 19th of June already they arrange the Baltic Festival in the city. You can already qualify for main events that
has a buy in at 1500 euro. Two side events are also available, 250 Euro Pot Limit Omaha and 400 Euro No Limit Hold’ Em, and loads
of cash games. Baltic Festival is being held at Swissotel Tallinn.

Baltic Festival was last year held in october. At that event the englishman Tomas Partridge won the main event,
while the finnish Ville Vahlbeck won the high roller before Shaun Deeb. That time the event displayed a lot of inspiring poker.

The american poker player David Williams now leaves his sponsor Bodog, without making official
any new site to represent. Williams won the WPT final in Bellagio a month ago and the speculations are
now at their peak about the reason why it didn’t work, and that it could be a possible discontent from Williams
for not getting any bonus for having won a large title.

Neither Bodog or Williams have commented the reason as to why they now cancel their cooperation.

On tuesdays you will have the opportunity to play against the team members from Poker Stars Team Pro. The proffessionals will play different games and on different levels. In other words ordinary players will be given the opportunity to win money from the best in the world.

To create the same feeling as homegames PokerStars have created the concept Team Pro Tuesdays. Then the opportunity to play against proffessionals from PokerStars on different levels and in different games will be given.

Suddenly there is an opportunity to do like Mike McDermott in Rounders and play against the world champion and bluff him away with just jnk on your hand. Except playing against the stars of Poker Stars you also have the opportunity to just rail them and see how they act at the tables or chat with them.

In december PokerStars also run two Outlast the Pro-event where you can play one tournament and face the proffessionals from PokerStars for only $11. In these tournaments PokerStars have added $1000 and the players who will stay longer than the pros will share this extra pot.
- That will give an interesting twist. If you have a large stack you hope that the pros will be around long and if you are a player with a short stack you want to see the pros bust, Daniel Negreanu says.

Brian Hastings probably had his best poker night ever when he met the Swede Isildur1 yesterday. The Full Tilt-proffessional ended up with a profit of more than $3 million.

But despite a huge profit there was one person who thought that Hastings should have taken even more money – Isildur1. After a number of excerpts and many pots where the Swede thought that Hastings was lucky it seemed like the tilt hit and a hot-tempered conversation came up in the chat.

Before Brian Hastings left the table Isildur1 asked him to take the last money from him too.
“I don’t want them”, Isildur1 wrote.

Excerpt from the chat:
Isildur1: ??????????

Some have been speculating that Isildur1 has been down for the count, but now the Swede has proven them the opposite. Isildur1 is back at Full Tilt Poker, and it is quite some comeback as well.

After the drop for Isildur1, having lost many millions, it has been talk about whether or not the Swede has emptied his entire bankroll or not. Now Isildur1 has proven the opposite, at least for now. Between the 5th and 6th of december Isildur1 went $1,6 millions plus. The statistics at highstakesdb.com also shows that Isildur1 at this moment is up about $2,1 millions the last 24 hour period after having played 6418 hands.

The players who have been hit the hardest is Ziigmund and durrr. Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies has lost $1,4 millions in 1116 hands while Tom “durrr” Dwan is down $562 000 in 3766 hands.

A place at the final table in WSOP and WSOPE wasn’t enough for James Akenhead who has had a tremendous year. The proffessional playing at Full Tilt Poker also won their Full Tilt Poker Million. Because of that he got $500 000.

The year for James Akenhead has been tremendous, saying it mildly. Not just that he managed to get to the final table in WSOP, on the other side of the Atlantic he also reached the final table in WSOPE. His latest achievement is his victory in Full Tilt Poker Million VIII.

I have reached many final tables but never been number one so winning such a large event as Full Tilt Poker is fantastic. I think that I played really well. I trusted my instinct and my analysis and I didn’t make many mistakes throughout the tournament, James Akenhead says.

Results Full Tilt Poker Million VIII
1. James Akenhead – $500 000
2. Juha Helppi – $250 000
3. Dag Martin Mikkelsen – $200 000
4. Luke Schwartz – $150 000
